A fairy tale come true..
It's my second wedding since two years ago.. when i was attached (that is).
I attended Gennie's wedding just an hour ago. It was touching to see her in her wedding gown, walking arm in arm with her partner, her boyfriend (whom I have nv met), her husband. The background music do play a part in creating the mood .. i must admit. She is a brave girl. She has gone through what most people din't and din't even appreciate what they have. She lost her mother 14 years ago.. She "lost" her dad to another family. She lost her sister who don't seemed to care.. She was alone till she met him.
I heard she met him at a pub. Hmm.. i suppose most would think that pub's guys are a no-no.. but well.. it goes to show that destiny and fate is something that we can't control and can't foresee..
Anyway.. I was moved to tears (almost) when she read out her speech.. She thank her dad for coming, for bringing her up when i know that she was "alone" for almost half her life at this moment. She thanks her mother if she was around.. she would be happy for her.. that she found her true love. I know it doesn't come easy for her.. she has come a long way..
I haven't been a great friend to her, i must admit. We have not met for 4 years.. the last time we met.. it was good long 8 years.. and when her sec. friend (we sat at the same table) ask me how do we keep contact, basically we don't sms as there weren't phones till we are 16.. we contact through letters. snail mail as most term it..
Congratulation, my friend. Bless you. =)
