"Waiting to be surprised by life" - an excerpt
8:06 AM
I just came back from Takashimaya. Met Karen over a dinner at Crystal Jade. Had a bowl of wanton soup.. finished a few mouthful of la mian.. and all the wantons.. My stomach is taking it well so far..

I bought a book from Kinokuniya.. The title of this book is " Earthbound Travels in the Far East. A Fortune -teller told me". It is quite an interesting book. It is about an Italian Journalist (Asian Correspondent) who went to HK and happened to meet a fortune teller who told him that he is not supposed to fly that particular year.. if not, he will have a mishap.. So, that year, he decided to heed the man's words and decide to work.. travel to the East Asian countries by foot, boat, car, train etc.. Throughout his travel, he met different people leading different lives, also trying to understand how older way of life/ beliefs are threatened by Western modernity..

Interesting book.. should have buy earlier and bring to Hanoi. ..

After dinner, I took a train back .. reading the book that I just bought.. and listening to my MP3.
Indeed, I think I really enjoy my 2 weeks of leave.. one week holiday, the next week.. just nua-ing at home.. I woke up at 8 or 9 every morning.. take a cool shower.. switched on my computer.. waiting for my dear (if he happened to be online).. but he called this morning.. so.. chatted for about an hour.. ate my lunch.. watched a movie (Tale of Despereaux - Rat) on the laptop.. halfway, I fell asleep.. took a nap.. till 5 pm.. woke up.. and went out to meet Karen..

Walked around .. There wasn't many people in Orchard at 6pm..

I guessed it's time to start work. 1 more day..

Lazing around.. isn't such a bad thing. =)
